Data protection Articles 13 and 14 of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)

I take the protection of your personal data very seriously. Your data will be processed based on current legal stipulations (GDPR and Telecommunications Law). This section on data protection contains information on the most important aspect of data processing on my website.

I process users’ personal data only as far as necessary to provide a functional website, including content and services. Personal data is processed only with the consent of the user. An exception is made in cases in which consent cannot be obtained and the processing of the data is legally authorized.

 

This data protection declaration offers information on the type, extent, and purpose of processing personal data (including the obtainment, use, and processing of declarations of consent) within my websites, their functions, and their content (hereinafter called “website”). This data protection declaration applies to all domains, systems, platforms, and devices (e.g., desktop or mobile) on which the online services are offered. Insofar as the processing of personal data requires consent of the person concerned, Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. a of the EU-General Data Protection Regulation serves as the legal basis. The term “user” includes all customers and visitors to the website.

 

Basic information about data processing

 

I process personal data in strict adherence to the applicable data protection stipulations and in keeping with the precepts of data reduction and minimization. This means that users’ data is processed only if legally authorized.

I undertake organizational, contractual, and technical safety measures using the best technology available to ensure compliance to the stipulations of the data protection laws and to protect processed data against accidental or intentional manipulation, loss, destruction, or access by unauthorized parties.

If, within the scope of this data protection declaration, content, tools, or other instruments from other providers (hereinafter called “third parties”) are used, whose declared location is in a foreign country, it can be assumed that data will be transferred to that country. Data is transferred to third-party countries only if legally authorized, the user gives consent, or if based on special contractual clauses that legally ensure the safety of the data.

Processing personal data

 

Aside from those purposes expressly named in this data protection declaration and provided it is legally authorized or the user has given consent, personal data can also be processed for the following purposes:

• To ensure an effective customer service (astrological consultation)

Your first name; last name; the place, date, and time of birth; as well as any other relevant information pertinent to the topic of your current consultation will be stored. In addition, your email address will be stored to enable me to contact you if necessary. Unless you revoke permission, this data will be stored until our business transactions are completed, after which they will be deleted.

• For marketing purposes

To transmit information requested by a user, the user’s first and last name, as well as the email address will be stored. If written information is requested, the user’s address to which the written information will be sent will be stored. All data will be deleted after the completion of our business transactions.

 

Users’ data will be transmitted to third parties only if necessary to fulfill my contractual obligations to the users (e.g., providing a vendor with the address).

 

When a user contacts me (either via the website, by email, or by telephone), the information transmitted to me by the user will be stored to enable me to process the inquiry and, in case questions arise, to contact the user.

 

If there is no legal requirement to retain it, personal data will be deleted after the completion of our business transaction.

 

Collection of access data

 

I collect data on every time the site is accessed (so-called server log files). This data includes the name of the accessed website, the file, the date and time of access, the amount of data transmitted, notification of successful access, browser type and version, the user’s operating system, the referrer URL (the previously accessed page), the IP address, and the requesting provider.

 

This protocol data does not identify any personal details whatsoever; it is used according to legal stipulations on statistical evaluation for the purpose of business, data safety, and optimization of my services. I retain the right to examine the protocol data if, based on concrete evidence, legitimate suspicion exists that the website is being used unlawfully.

 

Cookies

 

Cookies are information that is transmitted from this webserver or a third-party webserver to the user's browser to be stored for later access to the website. This data protection declaration informs users about the use of cookies as part of a pseudonymized visitor count.

It is possible to visit my website without cookies. If you do not want cookies to be stored on your computer, you can activate the setting on your computer that declines cookies. Stored cookies can also be deleted. If cookies are not used, this can limit the functioning of the website.

 

Inclusion of third-party services and content

 

My websites may include third-party content or services, e.g., fonts. The inclusion of third-party content means that the third parties register the user’s IP address, which is necessary to send information to the user’s browser. The IP address is essential to display content. Moreover, third-party services can also set cookies and use the user’s data for their own purposes. This data can then be used to create user profiles. I use employ third-party content with data minimization and reduction in mind. To protect data, we choose reliable third-party services.

 

Users’ rights and deleting data

 

Users may, upon request, have a copy of any of their personal information I have stored. Users also have the right to correct any personal data; to revoke consent; to stop the usage, or demand deletion, of their personal data. If the user suspects that their personal data has been unlawfully used, they may lodge a complaint at the responsible agency.

Providing there is no law requiring its storage, all personal data will be deleted after the completion of business transactions.

Right to register a complaint with the data protection authority

 

If a user believes that personal data has been processed in violation of the GDPR, the user has the right to register a complaint with a data protection authority in their country of residence, their place of work, or the place of the alleged violation. In Austria, the Austrian Data Protection Authority is responsible.

 

The authority registering the complaint will inform the complainant about the progress and result of the complaint, including the possibility of appeal according to Art. 78 GDPR.
